Our Trip

Sorry we haven't posted on the blog in a while, but this week should make up for it. If you really like looking at pics then this will be for you. If not, then you may not want to look any further. :)
Our first stop was going to be the Creation Museum in Kentucky. However, due to the weather and heavy traffic we were not able to make that stop. Next was on to Bronner's (the largest Christmas store in the world) but when we got there it was closed. But we couldn't leave without getting a few fun pics. AND (Karen and Carol will love this) they were playing Christmas music outside the store! I loved it!!! :)

The next few are taken in the town of Frankenmuth MI

It is taking a really long time to upload the pics, so I will post the ones from Mackinac Island tomorrow. They are my favorite!

No room!

"And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7

May our lives not become so crowded with other things, even good things, that we leave no room for Jesus. Just as He invaded that stable with His very presence over 2000 years ago, may He invade our hearts and change our lives with His very presence.
Merry Christmas!

A Thankful Heart

The 3sisterchicks have so many things to be thankful for and this is the time of year to give thanks! We are first and foremost thankful to our Savior, Jesus Christ for our salvation and His daily Grace and Mercy that He grants us! We of course are thankful for the wonderful family that God placed us in, not a perfect family but more importantly a loving and supportive family. We are also thankful for the friends that He placed in each of our lives. So this month we ask that you leave at least one comment telling us something you are thankful for. If you have more than one we would love for you to leave us several comments. Be thankful this Thanksgiving for what the Lord has blessed you with and for the people He has blessed you with. Tell the ones you love that you are thankful for them and why, it will bring joy to their hearts.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5

Disturb Us, Lord

Melissa posted this poem on the LPM blog a few weeks ago. Sometimes the vision gets cloudy then the Lord will use a scripture, a word from someone, a song, or even a poem to help us to re-focus. This is one of those type of poems.

Disturb Us, Lord, when
We are too well pleased with ourselves.
When our dreams have come true
Because we have dreamed too little.
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when
with the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wider seas
Where storms will show your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.
We ask You to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push into the future
In strength, courage, hope and love.

Worship

Do you need a little something to set your mind on worshipping the Lord this morning?! Click on this link The LPM Blog then scroll down to the Sept. 1st post about the simulcast and watch the video. It's beautiful to watch, but don't miss the words to the song.

The redeemed will sing forever, Jesus saves! Hallelujah!
